PIGNETO THE ORIGINAL
ROME 11.05.2011 – “Pigneto The Original” is a non-profit event in collaboration with the Senior Citizens Recreation Centre partnered with the 4th townhall of Rome and will take place from 6:30 pm to 10 pm at our salon in Via del Pigneto 75/A on the 11th of May. The purpose of this initiative, promoted by some commercial activities and the Pigneto Youth Group, is to give a more authentic and genuine image of this neighborhood, which is celebrated by TV and magazines just as fashion and famous for its nightlife and the several clubs and bars that recently opened here. Often the roots of this part of Rome are forgotten, and so are those who were born here -before the massive changing that Pigneto went through- accepting this whole transformation in a very open-minded way. This is the reason why we thought a celebration of the district where the currently-existing Pigneto meets the Pigneto “de na Vorta”, the ancient one, where the protagonists are the elderly people that represent our historic memory. During the event at ContestaRockHair our special customers will be served with a haircut and a manicure service. Outside will be set a refreshment for all the participants, provided by the restaurant “Primo” al Pigneto. The invitation is addressed to the whole city community; in fact we also planned a fundraising aimed to the purchase of games for the Senior Citizens Recreation Centre, such as playing cards and bowls for the bowling game.
